Background: (If you read Harry Potter and are not finished with the seventh book, this may present some spoilers.)
Severus Snape was born to a muggle father (Tobias Snape) and a witch mother (Eileen Prince). He looks much like his mother, and also takes after her most. His father was abusive, and thus this is probably a core root of his dislike of muggles. He grew up almost entirely alone, and not well off. His one friend was Lily Evans, whom he met when they were about ten years old. This woman continued to be his best friend through the following years... He went to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, where he was sorted into Slytherin and his friend, Lily, into Gryffindor. They remained friends at first, but Lily did not approve of Severus' crowd and Severus did not approve of her crowd. Lily's friends often humiliated Severus, while his friends were of a sort Lily didn't approve (Death Eater wannabes, haters of muggles and muggle born witches and wizards). Severus shared the views of his friends, which is why he later became a Death Eater and close follower of Lord Voldermort, but he had such a strong love for Lily that he seems to not care that she was muggle born. While the two friends parted ways after he mistakenly called her a "Mudblood," his love for her never faltered. Eventually Lord Voldemort made the mistake of killing Lily Evans, and this led to Severus Snape's betrayal of the dark lord. He went to Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, for help (but he was unable to stop Lily's death), and after the incident remained loyal to Dumbledore. After Lord Voldemort fell, Severus Snape became a professor at Hogwarts (of Potions), biding his time there. When Voldemort returned, he then worked as a spy for Dumbledore, even up until it was time for him to bring about Dumbledore's death...
Personality: Dislikes muggles and muggle-borns most prominently in youth, has immense love for Lily Evans which conquers his hatred. Very stern, strict. Awkward as a youth. Brave, selfless in his older age. Would give anything for Lily. Keeps grudges. Hates obnoxious people, popular people, when they do not deserve the credit (or when he does not deem them worthy of it).

Severus also runs a small business selling potions. He makes them by special request and anything not listed here is either untested or currently being tested. Prices are cheaper for new potions.
**Potions being used for the better of society (rather than specifically personal use) will be discounted further according to potion.**
Currently available and tested potions:
1) Calming potion: Will quiet a rowdy person.
Side effect: The drinker grows jackass ears and tail. Quite humorous.
Price: $20 for a single dose. If you buy 10 doses or more, the price goes down to $15 per dose.
2) Love potion: The drinker will find the first person they see to be extremely desireable for a set amount of time (depending on the intensity of the potion). They will find it difficult, if not impossible, to control themselves.
Price: $30 for a single dose. If you buy 10 doses or more, the price goes down to $20 per dose.
3) Invisibility potion: The drinker becomes invisible for up to 5 hours.
Price: $30 for a single dose. If you buy 10 doses or more, the price goes down to $20 per dose.
4) Quickening potion (speed / reflexes): The drinker will become faster and their reflexes will improve.
Price: $20 for a single dose. If you buy 10 doses or more, the price goes down to $15 per dose.
